As autumn progresses and winter draws near, it’s difficult to plan time out from the house. So why not enjoy a trip out with a difference, and browse the furniture and decorations at Bello Horizonte, before relaxing over lunch at Restaurante Masena?
Our two family owned businesses are situated adjacent to each other, with ample off road parking for diners and customers alike. And both premises are spacious and Covid compliant, so you can browse and dine in safety and security.
Over the last months, we have all spent too much time indoors or at home, away from family and friends. Covid-19 isn’t going anywhere, so we have to organise our lives sensibly and safely around it. What could be better than celebrating the beauty of our world, then enjoying the fruits of the Mediterranean Sea and the campo around the Marina Alta, lovingly and expertly prepared for you by our chef Hamid and his team?
You are always assured of a warm welcome from our Front of House Manager Valentin, who has the memory of an elephant when it comes to the preferences of our diners!
We can’t think of a better way to forget the problems of the world around us and relax in comfort with a good meal, after browsing Bello Horizonte for ideas for your home, or for Christmas gifts for your loved ones. In November, we will be taking delivery of our special Christmas stock, and we’ve just completely restocked the store, and created beautiful arrangements so you can visualise our pieces as they would look in your home.
In Masena, Hamid and the team are coming up with new ideas for warming winter meals, and indulgent desserts, but of course you can always rely on the signature dishes that make Masena a place people want to return to, again and again.
Our two-person rice dishes can be enjoyed at any time of year, but now the weather is cooler, we all have better appetites to do justice to Masena’s generous portions, don’t we? Maybe you prefer steaks, cooked on the hot stone.

Our location, on the main road between Benitatchell and Javea, means you can visit Masena without worrying about being among crowds, where social distancing may be difficult. Our beautiful sheltered terrace is still comfortable for outdoor eating most days, and the spacious dining room allows for safe social distancing to keep everyone relaxed and secure.

Booking for the restaurant is advisable, as places are limited due to Covid safety measures. However, there is always room in Bello Horizonte’s large showroom to browse safely. We look forward to seeing you soon, to while away the winter days with us.
