Restaurante Masena, Javea: Trip Advisor Travellers Choice for 2020

The people of Javea – and those who visit this beautiful coastal town – are truly fortunate to have an excellent choice of places to eat, all year round. One of our favourites here at Spain Life Exclusive – Restaurante Masena – is the proud and justified recipient of the Trip Advisor Travellers Choice Award for 2020.

Since only the top 10 per cent of businesses in each category receive the award, which is based on consistent good reviews, it’s a real badge of honour. To those of us who are regular visits to Masena, it comes as no surprise. The restaurant is famed for its consistent quality, excellent service and perfect ambience. They even have an excellent choice for children, so they can eat well too. Don’t take our word for it, though. Here are just some of the reviews taken from several social media sites that have put Restaurante Masena among the best restaurants in Spain.

‘I’ve been coming here for years’

Nigel, who dined there three days ago, has been visiting the restaurant for many years. And always takes visitors there, who then go on to take others to enjoy the Masena Experience. There’s no better recommendation for a restaurant than that. In all those visits, Nigel has never been disappointed. If the chef, Hamid, ever has a bad day, it’s never happened when Nigel or his friends have eaten there!

‘You never leave Masena hungry’

Juliet is another regular visitor to Masena who has never had a meal she hasn’t enjoyed. What’s more, she says there’s always plenty of it! Perhaps more importantly right now, Juliet points out that all the restaurant staff have been trained in cleaning and hygiene protocols, and she and her party felt completely safe and cared for when they visited Masena a couple of weeks ago. That’s really important in Spain’s New Normality.

‘We travel miles to go to Masena’

Pam travels from Hondon to Javea, just to eat at Masena, and she’s another happy eater! She mentions the consistent quality of the food, saying that whatever they order, it’s always perfectly cooked, and you can tell that only fresh, quality ingredients are used in preparing the food.

‘My wife said she’d died and gone to Food Heaven!’

Brian and his wife have lived in Spain for four years, and describe Masena as the best restaurant they’ve been to, and they intend to return whenever they can. He acknowledges there are cheaper places around, but says quality is well worth paying for, and compared to the UK, fine dining in Spain is affordable for everyone. We say, you can’t put a price on exquisite food, served in beautiful surroundings by attentive staff!

‘A real pleasure for the taste buds and the eyes’

Coming from a French lady, Virginie, this is praise indeed! She also remarks about the large portions, scenic views, and happy atmosphere. And she mentions the extensive wine list. She doesn’t say if she lives in Spain or is here on holiday, but we’re pretty confident she’ll be back at some point.
