The Cook
Hamid Megrini Moujtahid is the culinary soul of Masena. With a unique heritage, the result of the influence of his Belgian father and Moroccan mother, he has been able to build a personal gastronomic proposal in which fusion, technique and respect for the product become the protagonists. His 25 years of experience in the kitchen, working in renowned restaurants in Palma de Mallorca, Salamanca, Madrid and Barcelona, have allowed him to acquire a broad vision and a culinary mastery that today is reflected in each of his dishes.
For the past ten years, Hamid has dedicated his talent and experience to the Masena restaurant, perfecting his own style based on the authenticity of Mediterranean flavors and an elegant and surprising fusion cuisine.
Its specialties include beef carpaccio and foie gras with summer truffle dressing and micro mesclum, suckling pig confit at low temperature with apple compote and orange wine reduction, and scallops au gratin with saffron herbs, among other dishes that can be accompanied with a careful selection of wines from Alicante and signature wines from the region.
